November 2022 Luncheon

On November 10th 2022, IL-ITE hosted a luncheon featuring Kyle Armstrong from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The luncheon was held at Cooper’s Hawk in Naperville, and consisted of networking, a presentation from Kyle on MUTCD highlights from the 11th Edition, and an all around pleasant afternoon!

Kyle Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation for 23 years both for the District 6 office in Springfield and for the Central Bureau of Operations. He is currently the Engineer of Traffic Operations where his duties include developing policies, procedures, and programs for the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and intelligent transportation systems. He helped lead the statewide effort to review and develop comments for the proposed 11th Edition of the MUTCD and is a member of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer through ITE.

We thank Kyle for presenting to our section, and thank everyone who attended for making a pleasant and informative luncheon on a sunny Thursday afternoon.
